The Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp, the Place of the Giant Eagle Owl, is situated within the 12000 hectare malaria-free Mabula Private Game Reserve in the Waterberg, Limpopo Province, South Africa. The Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp is an intimate, newly refurbished, tented safari camp which offers its guests an unforgettable, romantic bush experience with five en-suite tents and a thatched hospitality lapa overlooking an open plain. Oil lamps set the mood for an authentic African safari with personalized ranger service and camp attendants at the Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp, Mabula Game Reserve.

The Waterberg, which is situated in South Africa's Limpopo Province, offers a mosaic of exceptional scenic landscape, a fascinating cultural heritage, an abundance of wildlife species and many nature-based tourism opportunities.

Vaalwater is the central village of the Waterberg area, the heart of the Bushveld region. The Waterberg region has been described as South Africa's best keep secret in regards to its game viewing. Its rugged beauty, together with its diversity in plant and animal life, has led to the development of several exciting eco-tourism projects such as the biosphere reserve, the Waterberg Nature Conservancy - the amalgamation of conservation areas in order to protect more than 150 000 hectares of the Waterberg-habitat.

The Waterberg Mountain range, which includes many rivers, streams and swamps, stretches for 150 kilometres in a long arc from Thabazimbi in the West, Nylstroom in the centre to Potgietersrus in the east, South Africa. The 75 mammal species include the big game such as elephant, lion, white and black rhino, hippo, leopard and buffalo. African python and the Nile crocodile are also resident, and it is a birdwatchers' paradise with more than 300 bird species. The Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp in the Mabula Game Reserve features 5 Tents which can sleep a maximum of 10 guests.
